£15,000 - £22,000 per annum + study support

GSS Recruitment is working with a rapidly expanding practice based in the Wilmslow area to source an ambitious Accounts Assistant looking to build their knowledge and progress further in their career. Study support will be provided.

The Role:

• Statutory accounts preparation and completion for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• VAT Returns
• Preparation of both corporate and personal tax returns
• Tax compliance and planning
• Management accounts and bookkeeping
• Supervision and guidance of more juniour members of staff

Your Experience:

• You will ideally have prior accounts experience within a practice environment
• You will ideally be studying your AAT/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
• You will have strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software would be beneficial

Audit Senior - some Advisory work

Manchester City Centre

£30,000 - £38,000 per annum

GSS Recruitment is working with the Manchester City Centre office of this large, UK accountancy firm to source an Audit Senior for their growing team. The successful candidate will also get the unique opportunity to gain advisory experience whilst working on non-audit engagements.

The Role:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion
• Take responsibility for audit timescales, budgets and risk management procedures
• Lead and develop junior members of the audit team
• Maintain and develop existing client relationships as the key point of contact on engagement
• Get involved with business development activities and identify opportunities for futher business with existing clients
• Writing reports for Partner review
• Get involved with transactions, valuations and business modelling

Your Experience:

• You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
• Audit experience within a UK practice environment
• Must currently be at Audit Senior or Assistant Manager level within practice
